Wow! Quick Fixes For Shaving, Whiter Teeth & Hiccups! Ice, Strawberries & a little Pressure!

If there is one thing that I really love it is a quick and simple fix for a troublesome problem!  Who doesn't hate those darn nicks from shaving, hiccups in the middle of a quiet room or yellow teeth???  Now here are some easy solutions to nip those annoying things in the bud!!!!

10 Seconds and you can kiss those nasty nicks from shaving Au Revoir- Simple solution- Grab a piece of ice and rub the cut area until the bleeding stops.  The ice's cold temperature will cause capillaries to constrict, blocking blood flow to the scrape in just 10 seconds!

Press away those hiccups today!-Simple solution-No more sitting in a nice quiet room when suddenly you are hit with thos nervy hiccups!!!  Silence them in seconds by pressing your index fingers into the soft areas behind both earlobes just beneath the base of your skull.  This alerts your vagus nerve to send a calming signal to your contracting diaphragm.  Hasta la vista hiccups!

Whiter teeth are only a strawberry away-Simple solution- Wow, wow white! Mash 1 ripe strawberry to a pulp and mix with 1/2 tsp baking powder.  Using a soft toothbrush, spread the mixture on your teeth, let sit 5 minutes then brush. Strawberries have malic acid that act as an astringent to dissolve surface stains on teeth, while the baking soda breaks into tiny particles to reach and remove deeper stains.  Try this once a week for brighter and whiter teeth!!

I have tried these and love them:)

  6. I definitely will try it! I hope it's good for babies too because the iron supplement for my baby boy is badly staining his teeth.

  7. I have never heard of mixing strawberries and baking powder before. I must admit I use bicarbonate of soda a day or so before my twice yearly check-ups at the dentist.
I used to work with a lady who had the whitest teeth I had ever seen when I was in my teens. This was before any whitening was available at the dentists. I couldn't resist asking her how she managed to get them so beautifully white ... she confided that she used hydrogen peroxide - she said that she poured just a teardrop of it onto her toothbrush and then lightly frisked them over. So I thought - marvellous I'll give it a go and I purchased a bottle. I followed her instructions only to find that - yes it made my teeth white but it also made my gums white for it burnt them. Fortunately they mended after a few days and well, it taught me to be cautious. Last time that I saw the lady her teeth were magnificent - I still haven't worked out how she managed to keep it off her gums though!

  8. Heidi:

Great tips. I especially like the one for stopping the hiccups. A few wees ago my Queen suffered from the hiccups that lasted for several hours. Needless to say, I wish I'd have read you post sooner.

    Happy trails.
