Forever Young-Simple Tips To Keep You Youthful And Less Wrinkles Too!!!!

I am always up for new ways to stay youthful so here are a couple tips I found in my Self magazine that are quite simple to embrace with lasting and great results! Short and sweet too!

Add some fiber to your diet-By adding 10 grams of cholesterol slashing fiber (think black beans and pears) to your diet you may reduce the risk of coronary death by 17 percent according to the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.

Vitamin C, Vitamin C, Vitamin C-According to a study by the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, women who ate the most Vitamin C were 11 percent less likely to to look wrinkly than those who got the least. Vitamin C’s role in creating collagen and its antioxidant powers may deliver the soothing benefits. Try some oranges or strawberries!

I didn't know this about Vitamin C. Thanks for the info and I think I'll go eat an orange!
I had no idea!! Vitamin C? I have been paying particular attention to my face lately as I feel like I have gotten wrinkles overnight! :(

oh, thanks heidi, i know i don't have problems with fiber for the load and variety of greens i eat everyday, but the vitamin C i should probably load myself more, sometimes i am too lazy to peel an orange, so i thrive on blueberries, cherries, and other fruits i do not have to peel. i should grab an orange now :)
I'm with you Heidi...I'm all for prevention!

Cheers

Hey, Heidi, I'm always looking for tips on staying young, too, but from the looks of my hair, I may be too late. But I do eat a ton of fiber and ingest lots of vitamin C, so maybe there's hope for me yet. I seems to be working very nicely on you.

peace,
mike

Fruit is not the only source of vitamin C. If you are trying to eat lower carb, then most veggies are also sources of vitamin C, and are a good way to combine fiber and Vit. C. As it turns out even some proteins (liver, musseld . clams and yes even chicken) contain vitamin c as well.

I think it's time to start eating tons of Vitamin C! I am a squinter so I am getting little wrinkles around my eyes and forehead. I can't afford botox and am too chicken to try it anyway but vitamin C is very affordable. Thanks for sharing. I'll have to give it a try!
