Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Easter!!! We had a great time at the Easter egg hunt and are now stuffed with candy (very healthy-not). I must admit that this is one of those times when the chocolate demon comes out in me. I have had more chocolate bunnies, eggs, etc than I care to reveal.
Happy Easter!!
Heidi

ReplyDeleteOh, don't worry, I secretly eat chocolates sometimes too, I say secretly since I hide from my husband when I eat them :)
ReplyDeleteglad to know you had a fun Easter weekend.
I hope that you and your family have had a marvellous Easter Heidi.
ReplyDeleteSomething that will be of interest to you regarding Chocolate. On our evening television - a rather sceptical doctor did a small programme snippet regarding chocolate. Firstly they measured his arteries and veins to see how much his blood flow was - then he had some pure chocolate - they waited just a few minutes and re-did the test. The result was amazing - the blood flow had increased significantly - his veins and arteries had become wider and clearer. This was with just one small portion. They said that this could be significant in the medical world - the chocolate needs to be rich - not the extra sweet stuff that we tend to hanker after though.
As you know there is a special magical chemical in chocolate - what we need is a campaign to make manufacturer's list the quantity of it on the chocolate bars - this would be of special benefit to people with heart conditions and heart disease and in fact would benefit us all! According to the programme - just because a bar is high in chocolate it does not necessarily mean it contains enough of the chemical to be useful to us.
Until then apparently we are best advised to drink old-fashioned cocoa!!!
Hope you had a Happy Easter, and a great time overall! All the best :)
