Health Benefits of Sex (why do I have a hard time typing that word?), Vita-Mix And More All Coming Up

Just to let all you all know that I have not fallen off the earth and am currently working on my Vita-Mix post and (okay I still get nervous discussing this publicly) a post on the health benefits of sex. I saw an article and was completely amazed at all the benefits of sex (heart, prostate, bones, immunity, mood, longevity, fertility and more). Normally I would not write on this subject because you never know who is going to get all riled up over it but the benefits outweighed my fear of offending anyone and we are all adults here so I think it should be okay (oh my, I am blushing even typing the word sex-okay I am 40 not 16-I need to get with the program-sorry but growing up we NEVER discussed such things and if you did you would probably well who knows since it was not discussed-ahhhhh-stop blushing-so ridiculous). So, that is what I have coming up hopefully tomorrow. Until then……

  1. Hi Heidi, you made me laugh, I found your apprehension cute and also very thoughtful of what and how others may react. But am glad you will face it, I will be looking forward to learn more of the health benefits.

  2. I get the same way as you talking about sex but you know I think that's the way we've been conditioned about it...like it's only "naughty." I do try to just be adult about it because after all we ARE adults, not 16 year olds. haha ;)

  4. Hmmmmmmm I am a older, but somehow talking outloud about it or writing about it is difficult.
Having said all that. . . . sex is such a fun form of exercise. . . . much better at 48 than 28.

  5. I don't know anything about sex (too naive), but am waiting with breathless anticipation to see what you have to say about Vita Mix. I've had one since 1992. It is the greatest. I think it has much to do with keeping this Octogenarian going.

  6. In addition to always talking about chocolate you're now going to talk about sex? If more people knew this stuff, we'd all be much healthier! I'm looking forward to reading about the health benefits of sex and of course also hearing about the Vita-Mix!

  12. i am completely the opposite. I have always been able to discuss sex openly. I especially made it a point to teach my girls that it was okay to discuss it.....especially with me.

This often times brought a great deal of embarrassment for my husband and still does even though they are all grown.

I think I am so open about it because my mother was so closed to discuss it. Due to this I believe that some of things I experienced in my younger years could have been avoided.

So I taught my girls to be open, honest and unashamed to discuss anything with me. Now they are 38 and 35 and I still know all of the details. But please don;t ever let their husbands know....LOL:-)))))

  13. Hee, hee, hee. I could really see you blushing and giggling, too. I'll be looking forward to reading all the benifits of the best and most romantic, sensuous exercise in the world.

Yes, we should all be able to talk about it comfortably, without feeling embarrassed. So, I say, go for it.
